Bedroq x Gold StandardCeará Renewable Energy Project
We pride ourselves on being an environmentally conscious company, so we are committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030. To off-set our carbon emissions, we support two Gold Standard Projects.
The Ceará Renewable Energy Project has focused on moving five ceramic factories from an illegal firewood energy source to a biomass alternative. The shift gives what would have otherwise been discarded waste, a useful alternative – a fuel source and a way for many locals to make a living through supplying biomass to the factories.
Several other opportunities and benefits are created for the local communities – through hundreds of jobs with improved working conditions, food donations, improved water access and reduced water pollution, housing, and more.

Bedroq x Gold StandardNicaforest High Impact Reforestation Project
Reforestation is at the core of this project. In reality, it provides a plethora of benefits to the surrounding area and local population. It starts with planting teak and other valuable species for future timber production, while the overall goal is increasing resilience in the local communities.
By providing training and education for those involved, it produces practical skills in forest management, which can be shared and used to build a career. Food security is improved through an agreement to allow local communities to plant and harvest beans in the spaces between the trees.
Since it’s initiation in 2015, The Nicaforest High Impact Reforestation Project has planted 360,000 trees to combat Carbon Emissions, while also managing secure watersheds to protect crucial, natural bodies of water.
Between these two projects, Bedroq have offset 300 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Carbon Credit Retirement Certificate.
