Why should you use Presenter Modes in your meetings?
By using Presenter Modes you can create a more engaging environment for your meeting/presentation. It lets you keep “face-to-face” element of a Teams meeting by keeping your camera feed near the content that you are sharing.
There are three different modes depending on your personal preference, so you can choose which is most suitable for your content and approach:
1. Standout*
2. Side-by-side*
3. Presenter*
*It’s important to note that these interactive presenter modes are only available for the desktop version of MS Teams.
Teams Presenter Modes Step-by-step guide:
- Join your Microsoft Teams meeting.
- Along the top bar, find the “Share” option.
- Click it to open the drop-down menu.
- At the very top of this menu there is a toggleable button to include computer audio – remember to check this if you need to share the audio as well.
- Just below that there are the 4 options for screen-sharing: Content-only (default), Standout, Side-by-side, and Reporter – as seen above.
- Select the option you want, then the screen or window that you wish to share.
- You will notice that a small window will open to show you how it looks to the participants of your meeting.
- Here you can choose the have your camera feed on the left or right side of your content, and change the scale of it as well.
- Now you know how select and use different Presenter Modes in MS Teams meetings.
