Bedroq acquires Tellemachus
Bedroq has acquired Tellemachus, trusted technology and security specialist to the police and energy sectors. This is part of a long-term strategy, with the combined increase in business size and specialist expertise contributing to the acceleration of business growth.
The acquisition of Tellemachus will enable both businesses to increase the support we provide to our existing customers, along with creating an exciting proposition to support new customers in the future. Security is at the centre of everything we do at Bedroq, and the specialist security skills that the Tellemachus team brings with them will be an asset to us and our clients.
Tellemachus has a 25-year proven track record as security experts, meeting business and operational requirements, through reducing customer costs, risk and complexity. They are recognised as experts in the design, development, installation and support of innovative and secure technology solutions.
Bedroq is led by a highly experienced team that have previously built successful businesses founded on robust operations, commercial propositions and expert technical knowledge. From Bedroq’s launch in 2019 the strategy has always been to use this technical and commercial experience to grow a successful IT business through a combination of organic growth and specialist acquisition.
Combining the specialist expertise of Bedroq and Tellemachus will enable both businesses to expand the solutions they provide to their customers, accelerating digital adoption and offering end-to-end coverage that can encapsulate the full range of customer needs.
Managing Director of Bedroq, Edward Armitage, says ‘We have taken a careful approach in selecting the right company to join Bedroq, ensuring that both businesses would benefit and ultimately excel together. Our objective has always been to find a like-minded team that bring additional skills and wisdom to Bedroq. We think we’ve found that in Matt and Peter and the team at Tellemachus’.
Tellemachus’ Managing Director Peter Wood, along with CTO Matt Wood, will remain a part of the business, working alongside Edward Armitage and the rest of the Bedroq senior leadership team to ensure a smooth transition into working as a combined business.
